FOREWORD As a contribution to the program of the Annual Meeting of the National Research Council on March 10, 1961, the Committee ori Pest Control and Wildlife Relationships was invited to present a symposium on the present status of the pest control and wildlife situation. The information here presented represents the views of the individual members of the symposium who are recog- nized as outstanding authorities in their respective fields. At the close of the symposium the National Research Council unanimously recommended that the papers presented be pub- lished by the Academy — Research Council. 111
