Many airlines do not have enough staff to address needs of families and survivors at the airport. PASAG designs basic checklists and processes for short-term supplemental staffing by volunteers. Coordinaon Running a family assistance response requires a lot of coordinaon between mulple locaons and responding agencies. PASAG designs processes and builds relaonships to make coordinaon easier. Resources From conference rooms to office supplies, a response is resource-intensive. PASAG prepares plans and resource materials any airline is welcome to use. Vicm Accounng Informaon on hospitalized passengers and crew is an urgent need for airlines, families and friends. PASAG partners with the Northwest Healthcare Response Network to access real-me informaon in the airportâs Emergency Coordinaon Center. Emergency Response Facilies The following facilies are available for any airline to use during an emergency. The Port and PASAG are available to assist. Friends and Relaves Center (FRC) Located in the airport conference center, the FRC is a secure gathering locaon for friends and relaves who believe their loved ones may be involved in an aviaon disaster. PASAG plans include an area for families, a check-in area for volunteers, and a command area for FRC leadership.
48 Emergency Working Groups at Airports involved. The PGA is a secure locaon where survivors receive secondary triage, addional assistance, and help reunifying with waing loved ones. Reunificaon Area PASAG has idenfied facilies and processes to reunify uninjured passengers with waing loved ones. Equipment and Supplies Equipment and supplies are pre-posioned in the FRC and PGA. They are available for use by any airline in an emergency. Use is oponal; airlines may use none, some, or all of the resources.
