The table includes four columns labeled site map elements, contract plan, C A D D zip folder, and file name. Each row describes a specific element, such as boundaries of the property, construction activity locations, grading activities, drainage patterns, areas of soil disturbance, non-disturbed areas, locations of controls, surface stabilization, and discharge points. The contract plan column lists types of plans, like plan sheets, drainage maps, and reports. The C A D D zip folder column specifies either roadway or drainage as the location. The file name column provides the specific file name or description for each item, such as planned reference, ref wetland, d r m p r d, r d x s r d, p d p l r d, and others. State department of transportation (DOT) construction activities must comply with federal and state National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System construction general permit requirements. The regulations require state DOTs to implement policies, procedures, and practices to minimize offsite discharges of sediment-laden stormwater to protect downstream receiving water bodies during construction.

NCHRP Synthesis 648: Construction Stormwater Program Management, Tracking, Reporting, and Compliance, from TRB's National Cooperative Highway Research Program, documents state DOT practices, tools, and approaches for managing compliance with state and federal construction stormwater permit requirements.
