Stuart Zola, PhD, is the Director of the Yerkes National Primate Research Center, one of the premier primate research centers in the country, and additionally holds the positions of Professor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory Unversity, and Research Career Scientist in the Atlanta Veteran' s Administration Medical Center. He served as Chair of the IACUC for the University of California, San Diego, for eight years, and from 1993 to 1997, he served as Chair of the Society for Neuroscience's Committee on Animals in Research (CAR)
