DeVault spent 3 years at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, where he was responsible for planning and implementing a strategy to reduce the cost of polymer matrix composite structures. Earlier in his career, he was president of the Composite Products Group, Hercules Aerospace Company -- the largest supplier of graphite materials to DoD and a major manufacturer of composite structures.
