... CCSP's draft Synthesis and Assessment Product 5.2 entitled "Best-Practice Approaches for Characterizing, Communicating, and Incorporating Scientific Uncertainty in Decision Making." The purpose of SAP 5.2 is to synthesize the current state of understanding about the characteristics and implications of uncertainty related to climate change and variability, and provide recommendations for best practices for characterizing, analyzing and communicating that uncertainty. The role of the National Academies committee will be to provide a peer review of CCSP SAP 5.2.
