The Phase I study, headed by the Committee on Ameri ca's Energy Future and supported by the three separately constituted panels whose members are listed in this appendix, will serve as the foundation for a Phase II portfolio of subsequent studies at the Academies and elsewhere, to be focused on strategic, tactical, and policy issues, such as energy research and development pri orities, strategic energy technology development, policy analysis, and many related subjects.
