In its work, the Board mobilizes a wide range of expertise in engineering and the physical and social sciences. In pursuit of its goals, the Board develops strategic plans, meets with sponsors and other interested organizations to exchange ideas and information, and provides stewardship of sponsored activities involving studies, briefings, workshops, symposia, and a variety of information dissemination activities.
