Formerly Division Vice President with PRC Engineering, Inc., and founder of the MATRIX Group, Inc., he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Urban Land Institute, and received his S.B., S.M., and Ph.D.degrees in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His early work on reliability analysis for highway pavement systems has been cited as a basis for current pavement design methods in the United States.
