89 6.1 Conclusions This project has examined the characteristics of disruptions to freight networks and developed two approaches to analyzing the associated economic impacts. The conclusions from this research relate to three important areas -- characteristics of the disruptions and network responses themselves, modeling and analysis approaches, and the proposed methodologies for analyzing the economic impacts of disruptions.
