Threat Assessment Response Protocol 13 of assaults, verbal abuses, and "near misses" to learn how to prevent similar incidents from recurring can be an administrative control for workplace violence according to the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees. The Amalgamated Transit Union Workplace Violence Fact Sheet also urges the collection of violence data.
