116 Leveraging Big Data to Improve Traffic Incident Management The research suggests that the current state of the practice for TIM data collection, storage, and analysis is between the first and second tiers on the Big Data pyramid. At this point, very limited TIM data is being collected and shared among partner agencies, and a solid data lake as a foundation for the development of TIM business intelligence and TIM data science has yet to be built.
