McNutt: In accordance with paragraph 11 of section II of the Bylaws of the National Academy of Sciences, the firm of Grant Thornton LLP was retained by the Audit Committee on behalf of the Council to conduct an audit of the accounts of the Treasurer for the year ended December 31, 2020, and to report to the Audit Committee. The independent accountants have completed their audit and submitted their report.
