Review of Existing Data and Information 7 Since transit vehicle fires are a global concern, the research also queried international sources on their relevant practices, performance data, research findings, and other information related to the assessment and mitigation of electrical fires. The research team's literature review found limited information from transit systems con cerning fires that have occurred on buses and rail cars.
