The Committee on Review of Effectiveness and Efficiency of Defense Environmental Cleanup Activities of the Department of Energy's Office of Environmental Management was appointed by the National Academies to carry out this study. The committee is comprised of experts with training and experience in project management, civil and nuclear engineering, acquisition and contracting, construction and decommissioning management, and other fields.
