The effect of monomer storage time on the polymerization of 90-10 butylacrylate-acrylonitrile copolymer latex v̂ as found to be negligible Monomer which was 4 months old gave the same results as monomer received a few days before use. Studies on the sta b i l i t y and thickening of polyethylmethacrylate latices indicated that there exists an optimum KCl concentration range.
