Responsible for overall governance of the data, including establishment of policies for data access, privacy and information security. Could be handled by governance board or oversight committee. Owner. Responsible for upholding privacy protections, meeting legal requirements, controlling user access to the data, and overseeing operation and maintenance of the data. May also be the operator. Operator. Provides infrastructure and support necessary to house the data and make it available to researchers.
